VB.NET Tutorial & Project Source Code

VB.NET Project Source Code Library

Welcome to the Aardaerimus.com & VB Toolbox project source code library! Please be patient with me while I try to get this collection together. Still, feel free to comment if you're searching for something specific and I'll do my best to locate that. :-)

VB TOOLBOX

Aard's Database Control Classes

  • SQLControl - Microsoft SQL Server - 2/18/2016
  • SQLControl - SQLite* - 2/14/2017
  • DBControl - Microsoft Access** - 2/7/2017
  • ExcelControl - Microsoft Excel** - 2/14/2017
  • DBControl - MySQL* - 4/27/2016
  • Firebird - request rebuild
  • MariaDB - request rebuild
* May require download of manufacturer or 3rd Party .NET connectors. .DLLs can then be added to your Project References within your Visual Basic .NET project.
** Proper OleDB reference libraries may be pre-installed with Microsoft Office. If you have no Microsoft Office installation, you can download the Redistributable Database Engine libraries for the correct [x32/x64] versions that you'll be working with directly from Microsoft.

XNA Tutorial Project Archive [Discontinued]

* Note: XNA projects require Microsoft XNA 4 and Windows Phone 7.1 SDK installation.

TinyEdit Editor / XNA Game Project [v. 2.7.8h] [VB.NET 2010]
TinyEdit Editor / XNA Game Project w Inventory [v 2.7.8j] [VB.NET 2010]

If you're still looking into game design with XNA, I strongly recommend switching to Monogame, as there is a thriving community with continued development. Thus far, the syntax and usage is virtually identical, making project conversion from XNA very easy.

With the Monogame SDK and project templates (provided by the community), it is no longer necessary to install Microsoft's obsolete XNA 4 SDK and Windows Phone Framework.

Monogame 3.5+ supports .NET Framework 4.5 and up.

    1. I apologize for the slow response. I have added links to the old archived XNA projects. Unfortunately, older projects are unavailable due to the death of my old dev machine.
